{From Friday through to Sunday, you beautiful beast. (From install to Sunday's close, Melbourne Art Book Fair, May 1 – 3, 2015)}
whirlwind |ˈwəːlwɪnd|
noun
a column of air moving rapidly round and round in a cylindrical or funnel shape.
• used with reference to a very energetic fairground of paper wares from the world over: a whirlwind of activity | [ as modifier ] : a whirlwind romance in the Great Hall. (Here's to the book in all its guises!)
Posting here a collection of images (taken in haste, for the main, before the doors opened) and tiny film snatches from the weekends' whirlwind fair in the Great Hall of the NGV International. Boxes have since been unpacked, and heads rested as a dance troupe flattens, and the pets have vowed to join us next time we take our artists' books and zines to market, no ifs about it. (Rehearsals have long been underway, it seems.)
You can see a little more of the NGV's Melbourne Art Book Fair from the vantage point of stall number 8 here, should you crave.
In addition, we'll be furnishing our online store with the eleven new zine titles we made especially for the fair later in the week, as well as sharing details of our two new artists' books, A deck of Salvaged Relatives and Following the soft percussion of your tread.
From the two of us, and our paper menagerie, a huge thank-you to every single one of you who came by our stall this weekend and said hi. And big love and thanks to Megan Patty and all the staff at the NGV.

+ From up high, a brilliant cardboard marketplace frenzy.
+ Repost from @ngvmelbourne: "We're still recovering from the excitement of the Melbourne Art Book Fair. Thank you to everyone who visited the event and enjoyed the books, stalls and programs."
