{In my hand, a team of tiny footballers Louise has recently painted.}
A little bird in Henri Matisse's left ear. A body in a boat shed. (Quelle horreur, Agatha!) Tumbling stars from 2009 that still hold some small appeal. A troupe of acrobats worn as buttons. A clowder of cats for a good cause, and a sleeping cat on a stove top too. An oil-spill coloured, land-locked bird, dear Eureka, dear friend, reading aloud in a bookstore. The midmorning appearance of a Jan Van Eyck painting circa 1430s, Yes, now and then, "the world [is] round and you [can] go on it around and around". The world is full of curious hand-coloured lantern slides, if you know where to look. Including this one of a woman and "a tame silver fox".
And while on your travels, if you are quick, you might care to leaf through a selection of our printed tales. Editions of In your dreams, blurred and distinct (2014), A Catalogue of Bodies (2014) As if from the clouds, restless (2014), Twelve months, an explorer (2014), and the pocket-sized 38.1500° S, 144.3500° (2013) are currently being exhibited as part of George Paton Gallery: Artist's Books (reprised) until the 5th of September.

{A Memento mori from Madrid. A souvenir for Louise. (You were missed, @misterpercy.) Vanitas (and me, reflected), Pietro Negri, 1662, Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid}
{Never can find, my favourites on a postcard. (Salome with the head of John the Baptist (Salomè con la testa di Giovanni Battista), Titian, c.1550, Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid)}
{From when the kitten was smaller and the fangs were shorter.}
{An evening spent quietly working looks something like this, minus the style.}
{With (last night's screening of) Jan Švankmajer's Faust in mind as I repeat my steps.}
{Earlier, we ironed out our MIFF 2014 creases. The tail end of winter, a blue sky day, later immortalised in pen and pencil.}
{A lucky find! (Diary of a Horse by Claire Goll with drawings by Marc Chagall)}
{Can withstand storms, but not it seems kittens. (First major siamese kitten breakage: one vintage Mexican hurricane lamp with a mirrored glass base (and he is not contrite at all)}
