This January, a Greater bilby (Macrotis lagotis), a Greater stick-nest rat (Leporillus conditor), a Californian sea lion (Zalophus californianus), and a Polar bear (Ursus maritimus) are the first animals I have engraved on tiny lemonwood blocks. But before they are inked up and run through our brand new press, here are the blocks, replete with backgrounds later to be removed and my pencil line planning.
