They had constructed their own garden from what they had.
In the post, just the other day, was the sweetest of all surprise packages. I knew it was on its way but my head of late has been filled with other things and so I had shelved any excitement over said parcel's arrival.
I hear you say, what was this parcel? Well, it was nothing short of fantastic. It was a parcel containing copies for both Gracia and myself of From Orchards, Fields, and Gardens: Art and rememberings celebrating sustainable agriculture and good food. It is the hard work of Kerstin Svendsen and it is lovelier than I had imagined. Last night, I sat down with Kerstin’s beautiful book and read many of the contributions it contains and all along, I was struck by how personal and special this publication is.
I feel very privileged to be a part of this book. I feel very lucky indeed. Thank-you, Kerstin.
If you are at all tempted to purchase a copy then I say rush forward and grab one while you can.

(In addition to Gracia's written piece and our two collaborative collages, you can see the work of Anna Emilia Laitinen on the cover, Terese Wallbäck (above) and Annamaria Potamiti (below).)
The above photo seems a fitting end. Its blurriness reminds me of memory and suits Gracia's piece called Recalled, I think.
