Here's a big "Merry Christmas" and an all round festive season "hurrah" to all my blogging buddies, readers and those just passing through.
It has been a great year. I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing my drawings and goings on with everyone, and I've loved reading all your blogs too.

This is my sort of bike, a KTM 125 SX. It's not quite as big as its MX1 brother the 450 SX-F, but it's certianly a lot bigger than its little buddy the pitbike.
I guess I'd get laughed off the Hangtown circuit but I don't mind as I'd be happy as Larry riding around on this little beauty.

Thelma's felt pins are ready for the Christmas picking. So if anyone has a Christmas stocking that still needs stuffing, feel free to swing on by our store. A WWF donation called send a turtle to rehab ("... thousands of sick or injured turtles that are regularly brought to the Bali turtle centre for recuperation will be nursed back to health. This gift helps WWF to ensure as many turtles as possible are released into the wild.")
An Oxfam donation called organic garden ("... For green thumbs watching your garden grow is very satisfying. These community horticulture projects help prevent food shortages and malnutrition and provide fresh produce to sell so families can afford to send their children to school and buy basic goods such as clothes and medicine. Plant some hope today.")

My experience of motorbike riding wasn't quite like this.
I spent most of my riding hours exploring my surrounds, be it on the farm, local race track or bush trail. I was more likely to ride up to a clearing to check out a grassy nook and some nearby wild flowers rather than performing a "No Hander".
I can't remember being lucky enough to stumble across wild flowers as lovely as these though.
Perhaps that is because these gorgeous felt pins, which are handmade by Elaine (Gracia's mum), are brand new. We've named them "Thelma's Pins", Thelma being Elaine's Christian (but much disliked) name.
The pins will soon appear on our shop... by early next week if all goes well.

Backflip No Footer, Can-Can, Cliffhanger, Double Grab, Kiss-of-Death, McMetz, CatWalk, Superman and The Whip... if anything was ever screaming out to be drawn on a thaumatrope it was these freestyle motocross tricks.
Here is my first attempt, a "heel clicker" which is apparently an elemental FMX trick involving the rider clicking their heels over the front fender.

Gracia and I have an exhibition planned May 2007 at IMP Gallery, Melbourne, so between now and then I hope to draw up a full range tricks. Maybe I'll even invent a few of my own!
Talking of all things flying and spinning up in the air, here's a sneak preview of some of our blue bird stuffies. Gracia has been slaving over them with needle and thread and it seems the hard work has paid off as our toughest critic (Olive) approves of these Christmas bluebird treats.
