{Four Caught in the Light collages made with Louise for our new zine with Hila, The Glimmer of Armour.}
Ah, light, that natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible. Yes, light, by its dictionary definition, is a good thing to focus upon and, in turn, make into a zine. These recent days, this seems especially so. A spot of light relief. A shift in focus. A brilliant diversion. A banishment of gloom. A new perspective. A glimmering suit of armour. Tomorrow from the printers we pick up our zine recently created with Hila’s words and Louise and my collaborative collages. From the printed proof recently perused I can tell you that the gold positively sings, dear ones. The weekend ahead calls for zine assembly. The Glimmer of Armour will be collated, scored, folded, and bound into its physical form. Ninety zines to edition by hand and photograph.
The companion to It’s the Dusty Hour, this new zine with Hila has been great to work on, and timely too.
+ You can preorder this zine and it will be ready to post to you this Monday coming. (Thank-you to those of you who have already done so.)
+ And you can order it soon through Hila's le projet d'amour store as well.
Will leave you now in the familiar instagram embrace, as I listen to the sweeping, swooning, lovers leaping composition that is Jules Massenet's Manon this Thursday evening. A clutch of recent squared moments with an emphasis on the light. Keeping things light and in perspective. That's the way.
{The happy eight.}
+ Thanks for the all the mountains love, Amy.
+ To try. Perhaps to eat. Rothko toast. (via idafrosk)
+ A recent gift.
