Kunstkantine No. 4

Could be
Thank-you, dear Karin, for inviting Louise and me to be a part of your recent Kunstkantine exhibition, Could be. It was a delight to make these paper works especially for your exhibition staged for one whole day in your home nestled within Germany's Northern Black Forest. Something so romantic and obscure and natural, why, I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this far away installation number 4. Creating a suite of postcard collages with wallabies and other Australian animals to accompany Louise's hand-coloured delicacies that upon closer inspection are not so sweet but gruesome (here, I am thinking, in particular, of We could be shooting lyre-birds and We could be hunting kangaroos) and awaiting to see how you would install them all made this a merry and curious project. I'm up for more of similar nature.
To mark the occasion, we celebrated the opening on October 28th with a slice of Black Forest cake. Each. Not to share and polished off before we even thought to take a photograph. Sometimes this is the best and only way.
Thanks Karin. And to those invited to take part in the fifth Kunstkantine, have fun!
