{Making this near to impossible. (The rodent you see in this recent postcard collage is a Californian pocket mouse. Imagine the pocket needed, if you will.)}
{Still without a clue.}
There is little in home not painted recently. The hallway walls, two rooms in entirety, even the kitchen cupboards, to say little of the trims, all have received a lick of paint and all in name of change sought. All that remains now is a final coat on two windows that look out onto star jasmine about to bloom and geraniums bright red and tall, reaching up for the sun. I have painted these windows, skirting boards, walls and doorframes many times and I can see, in places, the colours underneath. Seems every two years or so, it feels right to repaint the house. A fresh start, as it were, is always desirable. Now I am ready to work on new things. Already I am planning a series of large-scale collages.
+ Final touches are being made to two new zines Louise and I have made especially for Shelf Life, a large group exhibition (Delmar Gallery, 144 Victoria Street, Ashfield, NSW, 14th November – 5th December). This Monday coming, if lucky, will have the bulk of the edition listed as available through our online store for those further afield. Animals feature in both our zines. Some are inhabitants from the Natural History Museum and others, like these two in this post, roam in places far away.
