Out gathering stars as they tumble from night sky.

Indoors working and all the while dreaming of the sea and all things out-of-doors, it is perhaps not at all unusual that in my recent collages I have chosen to feature so prominently a landscape filled not with buildings and interior settings but one furnished with mountain ranges, water and snow.

All these Roman numerals remind me of something I recently read.

Xmul. X'pujil. Once you learn to pronounce the X as a "Shh . . . ," the place-names of the Mayas sound like so many whispered secrets.
