{Ready to give help. A recent collage on a beautiful photograph sent to me from Alexandra.}
With spiced hot cross bun in hand, here I answer Angie and Louise’s recent tag. (Thanks, A and L, this was fun.)
What is your current obsession?
Stalling for time, always.
What are you wearing now?
An expression upon my face that tells all; it has been a long day.
Do you nap a lot?
Not nearly as often as I’d like. I love to squeeze in naps for they ensure vivid dreams that are easily recalled upon waking.
If you were a tree, what tree would you be?
Perhaps a tree for wildlife to nest in, and for people to shelter beneath when there is a downpour. (I don’t like getting caught in the rain; it makes my hair form into ringlets.)
What was the last thing you bought?
A long black, takeaway.
What are you listening to right now?
Marlene Dietrich singing You Do Something to Me.
What is your favorite weather?
Clement days, on the whole. Or any day which requires a scarf and light jacket.
What is on your bedside table?
A rudimentary alarm clock, several stubby grey lead pencils and a black felt-tip pen, the bright foil of a small Easter egg rolled into a ball, four novels, and a tube of Jurlique’s Calendula Cream.
What is your most challenging goal right now?
Most challenging to me right now is the work on both desk and computer that needs attending to before Good Friday rolls around.
Say something to the person who tagged you.
Hi Angie. Your collected images on Windy Days are beautiful and in harmony with one another, always.
Hi Louise. Where would I be without you and the beautiful jewels you create?
If you could have a house anywhere in the world, where do you want it to be?
Having recently seen Summer Hours, I could happily move into that particular house with its objects d’art, its greenery and space, its delicious state of disrepair.
What can’t you live without?
Light, love and happiness, quiet, open spaces, the ocean... it seems I could go on.
What was the last book you read?
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Bernice Bobs Her Hair, I believe. Eva Hornung’s Dog Boy is next in line. Anna Karenin I have almost finished.
What motorcycle would you like to ride?
A Ninja 650R or a ZRX 1200R... neither of which I could control.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
Somewhere by the ocean on a grey day is where I long to be. Staring out at the horizon far in the distance, thinking of nothing in particular as I twirl a section of my hair between thumb and forefinger.
Last movie you watched?
Summer Hours savoured on a half-price Monday ticket has me thinking of possessions and inanimate objects and the meanings we pin to them, death and life, and the taste of cherries, too.
Many of you have already taken part in this tag, I tag whoever has yet to and would like to play along. Consider yourself tagged.
Wishing those of you who celebrate it a happy Easter. xo
