{To fasten the collar, simply tie the string ends.}
I am not one to normally stand about in my back garden in a faux Egyptian collar, but for you it seems I will do almost any thing. Here I am, wearing Louise and my collaborative piece for an exhibition of wearable artwork for Borrow. The exhibition, as part of Melbourne L'Oreal Fashion Week’s Cultural Program, is set to feature all things wearable as made by a selection of local designers and artists. It runs, rather like a whirlwind (in conjunction with other Give/Take installations at Off the Kerb gallery), from the 15th of this month through until the 22nd of March.
Our collar, We Travel in Search of Sulfur, is based on an Egyptian collar from 2150 BC. Our collar, as noted by Jac, is considerably lighter in weight than one would expect the original bejeweled broad collar to be. Our collaged chunk of yellow combustible sulfur (seen on the left shoulder) is also considerably lighter than original counterpart.

(Omar is on the mend and lies swaddled in blankets on the couch. He has bounced back remarkably quickly; it really is amazing. I do miss the sound of him crunching his way through his cat biscuits. He now chews his food in virtual steadfast silence. Thank you for your concern.)
