{A collection of buttons that I am keen to find good use for.}
Today I am sporting an ear-to-ear grin. A grin that comes from a new gadget that is white, electronic, bookish and marked with an apple.
I am the proud owner of a macbook and I am free of the table and chair. A delightful and portable piece of technology, I am typing this whilst lying belly-down on the floor. Yes, I am besotted with my most amiable companion, and my new love seems bound to last the distance.
New gadgets may not make for a smooth spinning world nor cause the sun to shine but they do afford one a generous grin.

Oh those buttons are almost as gorgeous as your macbook. Love your new collages. xo lj

My favourite position is to rest the laptop on my belly but it makes it hurt after a while. I like doing the floor position too but it's not so great for my old back nowadays. Those buttons are lovely and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

It´s intresting and exciting how every object in a collection builds a new whole picture together.
Those buttons makes me think of caramels.

A Macbook!!! Ah, Grache, welcome to the laptop world. Although I find them incredibly handy and portable, I always seem to find myself {purely out of habit} remaining stationary at the desk. Your collections are fabulous. I admit to being a bit of an organised hoarder myself.... I have hundreds of glass vessels still floating about the rooms of my house post last year's exhibition. But on a more unusual note, I have begun collecting my cats dropped whiskers... Perhaps I'll utilise them in a future project, but for the moment they look glorious nesting in a test tube. xx

Gracia, your collages just amaze me, every time.
And how fun to have a new mac and be able to type wherever you'd like to be!
I hope your projects/prep for upcoming shows is going well!

Collections, macbooks, buttons - I am most contented that you, my friends, share my enthusiasm for such things.
Yasemin, belatedly I answer your question (where did June go to in such a hurry, I ask?)... I make my artwork by day and by night and it is, in a round about way "my profession". In addition, I also do a little design work for others (exhibition catalogues created and web sites built) and teach painting via distance to university students. Thanks for your interest. You'll be able to find a little more of what I make and do on our site... http://www.gracialouise.com
As to those buttons, they lie still in a recycled jam jar awaiting a use. Something perfect will come along, I'm sure.
see you, grache xo
