Postcard travels (III)

Postcard_travels3_2
{Looking for delicacies in Lebanon, postcard collage.}

April 2nd, 1904

Dear you,

Change of pace, change of hotel address, here I am reporting in from Rue Foch, Beyrouth. Beirut proving a busy place and I am forever hitting my head on the overhead power lines.

Tonight I hope to head to the Grotte de pigeons (the Pigeons' cave) by way of the lighthouse. I hear they fashion beads from shells (or is that Taforalt, in Eastern Morocco?) and I am curious to find out more.

Wish me luck,
X

{The third in an occasional series of imagined postcards to feature here. Thank you, Shona (lala dex press), for kindly supplying me with the original postcard. I hope you like these Spotted bowerbirds, Shona; they are known for their mimicry.}

+ Album Général.
+ Passenger Pigeon.
+ Pigeon view.
+ Taiwanese vacation homes, abandoned.

I'm curious to hear more about those beads... Oh, and I hope you get the hang of those overhead lines, they can be such a bother sometimes.

these postcards delight me so. xox

ooh, lovely postcard collage!!

hi Gracia, I do love your stories, they always take me to much needed exotic places. and the postcard is fantastic. hope you're well x

that little wisp of pink is lovely...

i hope that someday you publish an album of your postcards and the accompanying stories...they are wonderful and i must say, i look forward to them like little turkish delights. or dapples of sun on a cold day.

when i first read the title i thought it said looking for delicatessens. it thought myabe you were on the lower east side of manhattan and i would find you with a potato knish and a pile of sour pickles. lebanese food sounds good too. did you find any baklava?

good luck to you! And the collage is nice.

Goodluck - you'll need it if you go to Grotte de pigeons! Wild place. I barely got out alive...

PS You've been tagged. No pressure.

truly beautiful, the colors, patterns, the boldness.

Some of your bird images, coo here, to me. Morning doves, is what we call them, they usually mate, and hang out for the season, which is nice.

dear you [how i love that you use that phrase]

a belated welcome to agatha...
a love of the pink/yellow plate picture....

and another thank you for taking us along on your journeys...
hugs....

Beautiful collage, I love the golden shades against the sepia. Thank you for taking us on another one of your adventures.

i am enjoying these journeys so very much. xox
