Found! Hidden gems in the cosmos and in the paintings of Eugene von Guérard.
This is a peep at four new collaborative collages by Gracia and me for our part in Hidden Gems & Rough Diamonds at Milly Sleeping, as part of the LookStopShop lineup presented by the City of Melbourne. We made twenty-eight collages in total for both Milly Sleeping's Carlton store and Von Haus and had a ball doing so. These collages, A5 in size, are to accompany a charm of 100 hand-cut finches we made from golden paper that we delivered to the store yesterday.
I am excited to see how Leah has elected to hang our paper finches in her store. Gracia and I cannot wait to take a look at the result just as soon as we can. We're itching to see the charm installed. It is always interesting to see how someone else will choose to hang your artwork.
These collages will make their way into a full-colour zine today. Along with a collaborative zine about the night that is taking shape with Hila, it will be great to see these pieces in book-like form.
