I could not resist sharing with you this Tuesday evening a peep at my new yellow zine, A beating of wings (i). Following on in the series of folded drawing zines, this zine is one of a pair, and it will be available from Gracia and my zine and card stall this Sunday afternoon as part of the Emerging Writers' Festival annual Page Parlour fair. It will also be available through our online store, though not for a little while yet.
It features in order of appearance,
a Giant hummingbird (Patagonia gigas)
a Turquoise parrot (Neophema pulchella)
a Zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata)
a Jamaican tody (Todus todus)
an Orange-breasted bunting (Passerina leclancherii)
...all of whom featured recently in the exhibition By This Unwinking Night.
(It does not feature me in my beloved Gorman jacket that I am wearing in every photo I pop up in lately.)
