Secondly, this post is my thank-you to Gracia for sharing one of her tickets to the Australian National Academy of Music’s performance, Final Breath. It was an amazing performance full of joy, incredible craftsmanship and passion. One of the four pieces preformed was composed for Genevieve Lacey who plays the recorder. The piece was amazing and she was incredible to watch as she at times played two recorders simultaneously. I have never seen a musician totally transform himself or herself into a bird while playing until seeing her. At one minute she reminded me of a brown songlark and the next a white-winged fairy-wren in her manner.
