Still facing to the left, the Black-throated Diver, Gavia arctica, whilst largely confined to Eurasia during the breeding season, has been known to reach as far as Alaska. In the summer they sport white spots. How could I not include this in my zine, Five proud birds? Not convinced? Take a look here.
