What a week that has passed. A week in which I visited the zoo with dear friends and nutted out a budget with another. I’ve painted four colonies of fungi and read about the history and arts of ancient Afghanistan in a book describing in detail four different archaeological excavations. (For those curious, the book is Hidden Afghanistan). I’ve spent hours playing with and learning the basics of letterpress, revelling in the joy of ink stained fingers. (Photos are soon to come.) I’ve prepared an order or two for wrapping, and collected perspex discs from the engraver, ready to be glued to the covers of artists’ books. I’ve visited a nursery with family and found myself the lucky recipient of five little flowering ground covers, and I tried my first macchiato.
All in all I had a wonderful week and I hope the one ahead will be equally fun.
