Anyone for tea?
The day of the tea party has arrived! I'm all packed and ready to go with my...
porcelain teapot,
(From Japan. Edo period, late 17th century AD)
Chinese gold-lacquered tea chest used at Mt.Vernon,
(From the Smithsonian Institution, Dept. of History)
coffee cups,
(From Hodeidah, Yemen, AD 1960s)
hand painted coffee cup,
(From Holland)
and a Jasper tea cup and saucer.
(Old Wedgwood)
So see you there.
Medium: watercolour and pencil on aquarelle arches 100% pure cotton hot pressed 300gsm paper
Dimensions: 15 X 15cm

Ooh, if I sip from a coffee cup from Yemen will it take me there? And will it be the 1960s too? How thrilling! Travel and coffee together - perfect.
Beautiful drawings, as always, LJ... just look at those ellipses.

To all my dear fellow tea party goers,
What a joy it has been! I'm so thrilled that everyone liked my tea and coffee wares. I've washed and polished them all and plan to return them to their respective museums in the morning.
I haven't managed to get to all the tea postings yet (work commitments got in the way) but I promise to tomorrow... if not later on tonight. I'm keep to savour more cup cakes and drink more tea, even if it is a little on the stale side now.
